A new notch at the top of the tongue leaves more room for the anterior tibial tendon on the front of your ankle, too — an especially good thing for riders prone to irritation in that area.
The undersole vents have an open path behind so incoming air really cycling shoes snd pedals get all the way to your foot. That said, the modest amount of movement was less noticeable while riding izmi time around, perhaps due to the improved fit from the ankle forward.
Perhaps the biggest letdown, however, is the fact that Pearl Izumi has squandered the positive changes by continuing to use the same upper material as before.
A bit more stretch and flexibility would be most welcome here. I just purchased these shoes intending to keep an extra pair with SPD cleats for spin classes at the gym. My first impression on opening the box was that they were very sharp looking shoes. They feel like they're very solid construction, there's just revies give in the shoe to keep them feeling comfortable while keeping a pretty stiff sole for optimal energy transfer to the pedals.
Overall I'm happy with the fit, my feet aren't going to review of pearl izumi ride road cycling shoes 703051696924 sliding back and forth in these shoes and they're not crushing the sides of my feet. My only complaint is the height of the shoe. I have fairly high arches and these are definitely cut low. If I went up a size to get more vertical room my foot would be sliding all over the place, but as it is I feel like the straps are only partly connecting to the velcro. Since I only plan to use these in spin class I'm thinking that's not sport authority cycling shoes to be a problem, but I probably would not be apt to go put my road cleats on and take these out on the trail.
I'd just be a bit worried about a strap coming loose on me while cranking away on the trail. Avalanche chrome accessories critical review.
They held up well for 3. These peral a pretty good hot spot in the middle of the ball of my foot. But at the 10 to 13 mile mark my feet start to hurt. I do used the SPD cleats.
Maybe if I used the other style cleat, it would help?? I also think the pleather feels pretty cheap on these shoes.
The Velcro holds well. The fit is as expected. I have wide feet so I went up a size.
I ride a Specialized Roubaix SL4. But I may be more of a mountain bike shoe type person. I use my bike for commuting in addition to 20 mile rides.
These shoes have held up well for almost 4 years. So the durability is good.
Rwview foot bed is firm, and the power stroke is acceptable. I think for the price, these shoes are fine for short and intermediate rides. The last 5 miles of a 20 mile ride are painful. Sort by.

Verified Purchase. After a short break in period, these shoes form to the personal dynamics of the individual's feet. I have numerous pairs of cycling shoes and I will attest to these beng in the group of my favorites.
They are soft and plyable.
I use them with SPD type cleats, but look types are easily accomodated. Buy these shoes.
If you wear an american size, get the next half size up. These shoes chcling amazing to ride in, and, seeing as I have smaller feet, I ordered them as 41D.
This should have corresponded to my shoe size shoez it was actually far too small to fit comfortably. My foot was being 7033051696924 up against the roof of the shoe. Remedied by removing the padded sole. Now they are the proper height and width for my foot--and review of pearl izumi ride road cycling shoes 703051696924 as I won't ever be walking in 7030516966924, the sole isn't going to be missed, and was put into my other pair of Pearl Izumis, which are mountainbike type shoes.
But, I won't lie, if you are going to be buying this, definitely keep it a tick or two above what you need. Or, best inserts for cycling shoes yet, go to a bikeshop and find a shoe that fits your foots width and length properly--the height shouldn't be much of an issue, as it happened to be in my case.
I like these a lot, but I would have sized them up on or two more if I'd known they would fit so review of pearl izumi ride road cycling shoes 703051696924. Not to detract from the functionality of the shoe or anything, but I have to say the best thing revirw these is that they just look awesome.
I bought them about a size larger than my regular tennis shoes upon the advice of roadd Amazon reviewers and due to my wide feet. That turned out to be the right move because they fit great.
